A link to this article was just shared with me by my RTLB.

Basically a couple have designed a new app, which was initially created to help their son but is now free for anyone to download.
I teach a student with both dyslexia and dysgraphia and I am excited to try this app with him as he seems to have similar troubles to the boy mentioned in the article. People with dysgraphia struggle with writing and spacing. His writing is very difficult to read and this includes numbers. He struggles to write on a line and this includes writing numbers into squares in a maths book.
Because of his difficulties with writing, he uses a computer for his written work. This has not so far included maths.
He is not behind with his maths, but he does have difficulties with any tasks that require him to show his strategies on paper. He understands how to execute the strategies but regularly makes errors with written strategies particularly where numbers need to be lined up on top of each other. He struggles to read his own writing almost as much as I do.
Of course there are other strategies I can use to help him. He can record himself orally describing a strategy but he does also struggle to hold numbers in his head and it takes him a long time to solve a problem this way. I think this app could be very helpful to him so I am excited to give it a go and see what he thinks of it.
I will reflect on the success of this app later in the year.
